Timer controls
Start
Begins counting up. Your time is saved automatically, closing the tab won't lose it.
Pause
Freezes the timer. Hit Continue whenever you're ready to pick back up.
Reset
Clears today's running total back to zero. Your history log is not affected.
Day rollover
At midnight, FocusUp automatically saves today's focus time, updates your streak, and resets the timer for the new day. If Notion is connected, it syncs the entry too. No action needed.
Goal
Your daily target in minutes. The timer shows how much time is left and turns green when you hit overtime. A day counts toward your streak only if your logged minutes meet or exceed this goal.
Session label
The optional text field above the Start button. Type what you're working on before or during a session, for example "LeetCode" or "Project research." When you pause, that chunk is saved to Today's Focus with its duration. Leave it blank and it logs as Unlabeled. The label clears automatically after each logged block so you can set a fresh one for the next session.
Displays
Elapsed
Total focused time so far today across all sessions.
Remaining
Time left until you hit your goal. Counts down to zero then stops.
Overtime
How long you've gone past your goal. Counts up once Remaining hits zero.
Today's Focus
A running breakdown of your labeled focus blocks for today. Each row shows the label and how long that block lasted. You can delete individual entries with the x button. The list resets when you reset the timer or at midnight rollover.

Account & sync
Guest mode
No account needed. Your data is saved on the server tied to this browser. Clearing browser storage breaks the link, so use Export to back up if needed.
Account
Sign up with an email and password (the person icon, top right). Lets you log in from any browser and keeps your history across devices without Notion.
Notion Sync
Connects FocusUp to a Notion database. At midnight rollover, a row is added with your date, minutes, goal, and whether you hit it, so your focus log lives inside Notion as a real table you can filter and annotate.
